ÜThe group headed with Sawsan ZAIDEH visited TUMIKOM


On 7 October 2008 the group from Jordan, named Hazma ALSOU'D, Moh'd SHAMMA and Sawsan ZAIDEH visited TUMIKOM.


They said, with NED's suggestion they analyze TUMIKOM web site and very much influenced by it and came to Istanbul for learning more about TUMIKOM work. They said they are doing radio broadcasting and have web site called "amman.net", they are also broadcasting live from the parliament in Jordan. We presented TUMIKOM work to them. After the presentation we answered their question about the method we are using for monitoring parliament. We then talked about our countries traditions, conditions of states and positions in terms of universal democracy and what we can do to improve it. At the end of the meeting we explained in detail about how we monitoring the parliament and prepare the report. We told them we would help about the methods and technical aspect of monitoring. We also mentioned the training project for other NGO's, about technical aspect of monitoring and our methodology and we said if they would like to involve with it they could come to this sessions. The meeting lasted three and a half hours and we decided to create the way of collaborating. They said, they would like to involve TUMIKOM's "Global Voter Initiative" and actively participate in it. We also helped them to visit two media channels.
