| TUMIKOM MADE PRESS STATEMENT IN ISPARTA |
TUMIKOM realized 2007/3 Coordination Board meeting in Van. Coordination Board members,
Fazlı GÜRCAN(Denizli), Mehmet TÜRKOĞLU(Çanakkale), Mustafa DURNA(İstanbul) and Osman
AKSEL(Diyarbakır), went to Van on September 14th, 2007 and on the same day realized
the coordination board meeting with the participation of TUMIKOM Van Volunteer
Representative Zelal OZGOKCE.
In the coordination board meeting, the project "Development of Voter-MP Relationship"
of which TUMIKOM going to give start in Van was also talked. First of all, TUMIKOM Board
was informed about the monitoring project of Van Woman Organizations. This monitoring
activity has been started with the contribution of Van Volunteer Representative Zelal
OZGOKCE and Van Woman Organizations decided to monitor their woman MP's and develop
their relationship. TUMIKOM started to develop the project by making interviews with
other organizations and giving rise to other works in order to extent the scope of
the relation development project in Van.
On Saturday September 14th, a meeting was organized by TUMIKOM with CATAK-DER
which is a local NGO having strong relations with other NGOs in Van. The executors
of CATAK-DER were informed about TUMIKOM's activities both in national and local
level. Besides, they also informed about the planned project. CATAK-DER representatives
mentioned that they will have contributions to planned project and also will try to
help to Van Volunteer Representatives Zelal OZGOKCE about her needs in the development
of the project.
In the last day in Van, Van local TV channel VanTV made an interview with TUMIKOM
Van Volunteer Representative Zelal OZGOKCE and TUMIKOM General Coordinator Mustafa
DURNA. National and local level activities of TUMIKOM and also future activities
was told in the interview.
